Radial acces

Radial acces (Patient Care > Interventional Cardiology > Procedures) | iCor | Institut del Cor del germans Trias i Pujol

In 2002 a pioneering program in Catalonia for both radio access to diagnostic procedures such as percutaneous coronary intervention. The radial access entails a significant reduction in vascular complications and increased patient comfort, even in studies that there seems to be decreasing mortality. It allows performing coronary angiography and coronary interventional procedures without hospitalization. Currently over 90% of procedures performed in this way.
