Primary angioplasty
From the beginning the cardiology department opted for the treatment of myocardial infarction (AMI) by performing an emergency coronary angioplasty (primary angioplasty) being designed a protocol.
In 2007 was introduced for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In 2010, this protocol of action spread throughout Catalonia (CODI AMI) which was our pilot and participates in the monitoring technical committee.
Reference Area
Since 2000 we have performed over 1700 procedures in the context of acute myocardial infarction.
